Joel and his family joined the Camp Christian team in June of 2013.

After meeting Tatia at Johnson Bible College, they wed in 1994. They have three sons – Avery, Isaac and Mathias.

Having served in a number of ministry roles throughout the years, Joel has worked with youth for most of his adult life. God first called the White’s to camp ministry in 2009. They served together as co-Managers at Heavenly Hills Christian Camp in California. There they discovered their love for serving in the camp setting. Since their move to western Pennsylvania, Joel and Tatia continue to work closely together.

The White’s serve with a philosophy that’s summed up by the phrase, “It’s the whole Happy Meal.” Just like a Happy Meal contains several key components, camp ministry has the components of service/hospitality, Biblical teaching, housing, food service, activities and more…. It’s the whole camp experience… It’s the whole Happy Meal. The White’s and the rest of the Camp Christian team work diligently to ensure our campers have the best experience possible. We believe that in providing this holistic view of service, those who come here are best prepared to receive whatever the Lord wants to communicate to them.
