Dear Friends,

It is time to be thinking about the Ladies Fall Retreat at Camp Christian, September 13-14, 2019. We are happy to welcome Lori Hertzog Spencer as the speaker for our main sessions.  Lori currently lives in Winston-Salem, NC, but was raised in the Hempfield Church of Christ in Greensburg.  She will be bringing encouraging messages from our theme, “Anchor in Jesus”.  Register now!

We will continue the changes in format made at last year’s retreat.  All workshops will be held in the chapel. As our hearts will be “on fire for the Lord” and keep us spiritually warm, staying in the chapel for workshops will keep us physically warm if the weather is chilly.  There will be a workshop at 5pm on Friday and two workshops on Saturday morning. Our program, workshops, etc. are designed for ladies of all ages.  The Ladies of the Bible dramas will be featured again this year and we will have Friday evening devotions around the campfire.

Everyone loves a sweet treat, so we will have a Bake Sale again this year. If you would like to donate some goodies, please bring your baked goods, individually wrapped, ready to be sold.  The proceeds from the bake sale will go to Vision 2020, Camp Christian’s campaign to pay off the debt by the end of 2020.  Last year we raised a little over $200.00.  Can we do $400.00+ this year?

We would also like to remind the ladies who took the “talent dollar” to bring their donations back to the retreat along with a description of how you made your talent dollar increase.  Last year the “talent dollar” was $2,400.38.  We will have a time on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon to share our “talent dollar” donations and stories.  We are anxious to hear what was raised over the last year.
